We'd Like to Thank...

An awards ceremony wouldn’t be complete without thanking the people who made it possible. Our own Mindy Martin and Laurie Plante accompanied Dr. Ghosh to the Press Ganey Leadership Conference last week in Orlando, Florida. This is what they had to say.

"We’d like to thank our patients for taking the time to respond to the Press Ganey survey. Our award for patient experience would not be possible without them.

We also personally want to thank our Ghosh Center healthcare team. We’re honored to work with such compassionate individuals, who give their heart and soul to the care of our patients on a daily basis. From the moment a patient steps into our office, our patients-first philosophy resonates from each individual on the team.

The conference was a very humbling experience. We went there not knowing what to expect and were treated royally! This was our first experience at a Press Ganey Leadership conference, let alone attending as a recipient of an award.

We truly did feel like little fish in a big sea of healthcare. There are some amazing health systems across the nation doing great, patient-centered things. Organizations receiving the Guardian of Excellence award for patient experience included Baylor Medical Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. It was an honor to be in such good company.

We gained a lot of insight on how to continue to improve and keep patients first, but we also realized that we have been on the right track for some time. In the words of Walt Disney, 'When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way – implicitly and unquestionably.'  The entire staff of The Ghosh Center should be proud of living up to their beliefs."
