Joni Tharp

Medical Technologist

I have over 35 years of experience as a medical technologist. My job entails collecting patients’ samples and performing the appropriate laboratory tests in order to provide information for diagnosis and treatment monitoring.

I am board-certified with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. My bachelor’s degree is in medical technology with a minor in chemistry from Mount Mercy College.

I enjoy working at The Ghosh Center because I believe in the philosophy and practice of putting the patient first. It’s an honor to be an integral part of the Ghosh team of professionals.

Away from the clinic, I spend quality time with my family, grandchildren and dogs. My family includes my fiancé Michael, my son Jesse, daughter-in-law Katharine and my three grandchildren, Dylan, Zoey and Emmet. Our English springer spaniels, Breanna and Grace, round out the pack. I also enjoy attending concerts and classic car shows and camping and motorcycle riding with Michael.
